As your eyes adjust, you're treated to an immaculate ocean view, the waves a matter of steps away. The scent of dark coffee emanates from an adjacent kitchen as the colorful community of Salvo beckons you to learn more about its rich history, eateries and activities. Your vacation has begun!
This 5-bedroom property is ideal for a family gathering or company getaway looking to get away from city noise in style. Use your private walkway to get to the beach - right behind your vacation rental! Visit the Atlantic Ocean for a terrific day of sun and surf, and then wind down with a trip to the private pool or hot tub. When every bedroom has a view of the water or dunes, it's hard to forget you've escaped life's worries. To the Beach and Back is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a modest one-time fee of $135, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

When to go & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Salvo. Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses.
