SOUNDSIDE Rodanthe This semi-soundfront home is located next door to Aeolus #165 on Windy Point, one of North Hatteras' best kiteboarding/windsurfing sites. It has direct sound access and the shore is only 60 yards away. Inside you will find three comfortable bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a bunk and a double. Gather in the living room for conversation and time with family or hang out on the back porch and take in the fresh air. A hot tub is located in the screened porch and provides the ideal spot to relax. At the end of a long day on the water or at the beach, gather around the dining room table for a nice seafood meal prepared in the well equipped kitchen. Remodeled in the historic Hatteras style, BOREAS is one of the best values on the beach.

Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.   • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
