OCEANSIDE Hatteras — Woodall Way — New for 2024 — Everything is more than good when you settle into HUNKY DORY, a beautiful one-level bungalow that’s just a short walk to the beach and across the street from Teach’s Lair Marina. If you’re itching to fish, simply walk over, book a charter, and let the local waters offer up their bounty. It’s just one of the many memory-makers that will define your stay at this laid-back four-bedroom/three-bathroom home.

The home is dog friendly and up to two furry friends will adore playing in the cavernous grassy area of this corner lot. Also on the ground level is an outdoor shower, fish cleaning table and a gas grille to turn your catch of the day into dinner that nighttime. Appreciate the convenience of one-level living where four bedrooms occupy a long hallway off of the home’s communal living space. There’s a king master with a workstation and access to a deck; another ensuite master bedroom with two queen beds; a king bedroom and kid’s room featuring both a single bunk and a pyramid bunk that share a hallway bath. All of the bedrooms feature Intelligent TVs. The completely equipped kitchen featuring a four-stool breakfast counter and an adjoining eight-seat dining table makes feeding the family a breeze. Speaking of breezes, catch them as they drift across the roomy deck, outfitted with Adirondack chairs where you can spend hours watching the wildlife that inhabits the close by marsh and the ferry coming and going across to Ocracoke. A comfortable living room with cozy furnishings and a enormous Intelligent TV provides the ideal setting to wind down the evening. About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is near the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and British Cemetery. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
