OCEANVIEW Avon - Wahoo Circle - Sensational MIRAMAR, and just two tons from the ocean, is where vacation dreams come true. Located on a peaceful cul-de-sac, MIRAMAR offers ocean vistas and access nearly as good as oceanfront. The first level features a fish cleaning station, dry entry, laundry area, half bath, and den/game room with foosball and TV. The second level has three generous-sized bedrooms, one bath and two shaded decks - one with a 6 person hot tub. The top level features the great room with cathedral ceiling, impressive ocean vistas, and full bath. The comfortable living area opens to a wide oceanfront deck with handsome ocean vistas. The kitchen with breakfast bar and adjacent dining area will delight the chef in your group. The fourth bedroom offers access to the full bath and private balcony. Tastefully decorated, MIRAMAR is sure to please even the most discriminating beach-goers.

*Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis courts. You will sign in with the attendant using the home name.

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Avon. Booking in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
