The Mad Crabber in Avon has been offering good food for more than twenty years. They have a wonderfully simple menu, which doesn't overload a hungry guest. But make no mistake, it covers all the bases for those looking for a balanced seaside repast. They even get kids started early on loving seafood with multiple fish choices including, lo and behold, crab legs! Add in a hot dog, chicken tenders, shrimp and fish bites, and its just right for small fry!

The regular menu includes fried, steamed, and chargrilled selections as well as platters, sandwiches and appetizers. You can mix and match and get a little bit of everything - seafood, meat and vegetarian selections - by starting off with a variety of appetizers and then complementing them with al a carte, entree or sandwich choices. Pair hot crab dip or a black bean quesadilla roll with fresh soup, salad and raw or steamed seafood - shrimp, clams, oysters or mussels. Sandwiches include crabcakes, soft crabs, fish, chicken breast or hambugers and cheeseburgers - all with fries. Complement your sandwich with corn on the cob, baked potato, Cajun taters, cole slaw, onion rings, baked beans, rice and a daily vegetable. The ala carte menu is a great way to satisfy those who want to go vegetarian. Into chargrilled food? Try their New York strip steak, natual chicken breast, sea scallops or fish tacos. Two sides come with all entrees! The steamed entree selections are a seafood lovers heaven with four different steamed crab choices plus a combo plate. Or go with shrimp, scallops and veggies. Of course there is good old fried food on the menu including calamari, shrimp, crabcakes, soft shells, scallops, chicken and fish with Thai sauce.

The atmosphere is casual, they have a full bar, offer live entertainment and welcome groups.
