Walk up to the second level and enter the great room with cathedral ceilings lined with sliding glass doors leading out to a screened porch and the rest of the upper-level wraparound sundeck. An open floor plan on this upper level reveals the living area, dining area, and well-appointed kitchen that looks through into the great room so the chef will never miss out on the family conversation. The sundeck has a picnic table for alfresco meals.
A roomy loft is a additional just up a short set of stairs from the upper level. Spy on folks in the great room below and appreciate peek-a-boo ocean vistas from the windows in this third-level loft. Other features of this home include a fish-cleaning table with running water and an outdoor shower for rinsing off upon your return from the beach.
The main bedroom has ample closet space and a bathroom featuring a stall shower and dual sinks. Step out sliding glass doors onto the covered deck and listen to the rolling waves hitting the beach just at the end of the street. One of the guest bedrooms features covered deck access.

Finding the best vacation home experience:
When to book a Hatteras rental & When to go:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summer is high season in Frisco. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Hatteras area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Hatteras visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Inviting, dog-friendly home with wraparound decks, washer\/dryer & outdoor shower has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a specific Hatteras attraction you love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Additional considerations:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
