About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf. Buxton Seafood and Surf's Up are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Hatteras. Booking your Hatteras vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
