You’ll feel the welcoming ease of this home as soon as you arrive. Unload your car in the covered carport with the assist of an all-level elevator that eases the move-in process and provides accessible-friendly access. On the ground level, relax in the private pool that offers both sun and shade throughout the day, or soak away your cares in the new six-person hot tub. Rinse off after a day in the sun in the outdoor shower. Gone fishing? There’s also a fish cleaning station with water and lights to help you prepare your catch for dinner on the charcoal grille.

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.

  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
