Nearby, you'll find a convenient half bath, sitting area with queen couch bed, and two colorful queen master bedrooms. All bedrooms in the home have their own Intelligent TV. Upstairs, the bright and cheerful decor continues in four comfortable bedrooms: a king master bedroom with private full bath, a master bedroom with two queen beds and private full bath, a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, and a bedroom with queen bed. The expansive great room on the top level showcases alluring ocean vistas with a wall of oceanfront windows. The family can share stories in the living area while appreciating the vistas, have an oceanfront feast in the dining area, appreciate family prepare-offs in the gracious kitchen with pantry, or escape into the private media room with Intelligent TV with surround sound and queen couch bed. Located in Waves, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Book your Hatteras vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
