Feel like a kid again in the shining oceanfront pool with inset kiddie pool or relax on the comfortable lounge chairs, listening to the sound of the ocean just beyond the sand dunes and sea oats. The poolside Tiki bar provides convenience for outdoor entertaining along with direct access to a full bath just inside the home.

Back at the home step inside to the game room for some fun featuring a pool table, foosball table, flat screen TV, wet bar with full-size refrigerator and microwave. Nearby is a convenient full bath and a sauna.

All bedrooms in the home are masters with TV/DVDs and their own private bathrooms. The 5-stop elevator will effortlessly take you and your belongings to any level in the home. The second level features four bedrooms, one handicap friendly room with two singles and roll-in shower, one king bedroom and two oceanfront king bedrooms with access to the oceanfront deck. A full-size washer/dryer is located on this level as well.

Upstairs you will find four more enormous bedrooms and another full-size washer/dryer convenient to all bedrooms. There are two oceanfront king bedrooms that feature deck access with an 8 person hot tub and ocean vistas, and two king bedrooms.

The top level features wall to wall windows and a sliding door to the oceanfront deck with broad ocean vistas. You can even see the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse! A sizable powder room and wet bar is located near the comfortable seating area with a 60" flat screen TV, DVD, and Bose CD stereo sound system. The gourmet kitchen dazzles with all stainless steel appliances, two fridges, two dishwashers, a double oven and center island with cooktop.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and British Cemetery are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Hatteras area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront - Pool, Hot Tub, Elevator, Sauna, Game & Media Rooms has 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation.
