Please plan your transportation around the island in advance, as Uber services are not available. Taxis and Lyft are the primary modes of transportation on the island. We highly recommend guests consider renting a car at the airport for the flexibility to move around freely during your stay.

Located in Salvo, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting. With kayaking, scuba diving, and snorkeling nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Finding the best value:

• Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
• Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
• Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance.
