This is the ideal place to end your day as you savor a invigorating drink and watch the breath taking sunsets over the Pamlico Sound.

During your stay, be sure to take advantage of the paddleboat, or john boat for some additional family fun out on the water... whichever you choose it's sure to delight. The boat home accepts for simple storage at the end of the day. Free bicycles are also included, so you can get out and appreciate the local scenery along the new community bicycle path that extends from Rodanthe to Salvo. (Helmets not supplied.)

Note: While Carol's Soundfront Castle is pet friendly (dogs only), the owner does stay in the property during the off-season with cats in the property. Guests are not allowed to bring their cats when staying in the property.

When to book & When to go:

• Summer is high season in Salvo. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Hatteras restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance.
