An oceanfront, well-manicured, and modern property has got it all for a great vacation with your family. Beach access couldn't get much easier than walking over the dune right from your property, and the amenities package at home provides entertainment, multiple common areas, and flexible sleeping arrangements. A dip in the private oceanfront pool is a great way to start your vacation—lounge around the cavernous pool area with tons of seating and a close by Tiki bar. The 6-person hot tub is tucked under the home for protection from the weather, and an outdoor shower provides a invigorating rinse from a long beach day. Inside the home, a game room greets you on the first level with a pool table, comfortable couch seating in front of a enormous screen TV with a Blu-ray player and sound system, a wet bar with a mini-refrigerator, and a game table for board games or puzzles.

Select from four alluring bedrooms on the home's mid-level, including two king master bedrooms with walk-in tile showers in their private baths. The other two bedrooms on this level, one with two sets of bunk beds and the other with two single beds, share the hall bath. Find one more king master bedroom on the home's top level with a private bath, ocean vistas, and access to the deck. The great room astounds with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a wood floor, and elegant, beach-themed decor. Gather around the sizable screen TV with Blu-ray player to savor your favorite shows or gaze through the broad windows at the ocean view. The kitchen will delight you with modern stainless-steel appliances, tile floor, modren countertops and backsplash, and a breakfast bar with seating for four. The dining area is tucked alongside the kitchen with ocean vistas, and a half bath provides convenience. For some peaceful time apart from the group, relax in the top-level den with huge screen TV, DVD player, and couch bed. Two levels of furnished decking provide both shade and sun for escaping with a good book or relishing in the sea breeze with morning coffee. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Located in Waves, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Hatteras attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise.
