The Treehouse #2-BB

Our calendar is refreshed in real-time & our nightly prices are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

You have discovered a striking, private, sound-front vacation home for your entire family. This home provides sweeping vistas of the Pamlico Sound from a secluded cove among Buxton's live oak trees. The vistas of the sound will take your breath away, and you'll discover a huge abundance of wildlife. The water has no undertow, and the gradually-increasing water depth makes this beach just right for kids. You'll appreciate calming, working on that tan, kayaking, kiteboarding (with room to set up your rigging), paddleboarding, or pursuing other aquatic sports with ideal winds. When you follow the meandering, 50-foot, private walkway from the home to the water, it will take you to your own white sandy beach while winding under an umbrella of live oak trees, which is as close to a tropical island setting as one can find on Hatteras Island. This home will help you get some time to kick back, relax, and watch the bald eagles soar with the wind. Spend your afternoons fishing, gigging, clamming, and shrimping right in The Treehouse's backyard. If this is not to your liking, various eateries are available and within a short drive in either direction on NC12. The home itself is top-notch, with a full kitchen, a sizable dining area, a handsome living room area, and an adjacent sitting room, ideal for tucking in and reading a great book.

Our top Rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To book the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Hatteras restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing the right Hatteras rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Dog-Friendly Waterfront House w\/ Private Hot Tub, W\/D, Free WiFi, & Ocean View has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
