With very painless access from street level, you'll have no problem bringing in your bags and groceries. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing gourmet meals with tons of room for more than one chef, and you'll appreciate the flow to the separate dining room through the butler's pantry which provides ample storage for your groceries and wine. From the sound-front living room featuring a 65-inch flatscreen TV, you'll have simple access to the huge, furnished deck that overlooks the water, where you will savor handsome, colorful sunsets year-round. The bedrooms are furnished to give you a variety of sleeping arrangements, making them ideal for a family or for couples. Step down to the lower deck where a six-person hot tub will be the ideal place to relax with a glass of wine after a day on the water. From this deck, a stairway descends down to the water's edge for easy launching of kayaks, windsurfers, or kiteboards. Don't miss this gem!

The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Finding your perfect rental home:

• Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are high season in the Hatteras area. To book the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
• Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
• Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

• Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
• Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
• Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
• Did your group have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise.
