Sea-Spray is a handsome third-floor oceanfront condo with unobstructed ocean vistas and an array of amenities. This Durant Station condominium features a private oceanfront deck and direct beach access. Find all the conveniences of home including a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, an oceanfront primary suite with a king bed, a private bath, deck access, and a satellite HDTV. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village on Highway 12 and offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. The elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages - no need to haul bags and groceries up long flights of stairs. Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll savor a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub.

The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a 50-inch plasma TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. All units are elegantly furnished and entirely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. This condo has central A/C, cable TV with HBO, and high-speed WiFi for your devices. Located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility with its own ocean view. A huge separate fish-cleaning station, shared grilles, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this condo is near the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Village Marina and Hatteras Harbor Marina. Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hatteras area. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.

  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.

If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise.
