Appreciate the water? Then make this handsome Island Creek Resort beach home your home-away-from-home. Located in a semi-private waterfront resort designed for active beach life, this waterfront home is the ideal place to spend a long and calming hideaway with someone you adore. Inside, the home enjoys two levels of comfort and convenience, with tons of natural light cascading in through broad, ocean-facing windows, comfortable furnishings, and plenty of space for everybody to move around. The main level features an open concept that encompasses the living, dining, and kitchen areas, so you can keep up with conversation, no matter what you're up to. The full kitchen includes all the appliances and counter space the family chef could ask for, and the dining table has seating for six dinner guests. You'll appreciate taking your afternoon meals outside on the wrap-around deck, and you can wrap up an evening soaking in the lower-level's private hot tub. Spend the day on a hot-weather hike then cool off with a swim in the shared pool before coming back to spread out in the living room to watch a good movie or show on the living room's mounted flatscreen TV. Please note that the fireplace is not available for guest use.

Set on Avon's pristine north end and accessible only by bridge, Island Creek Resort offers over 1,000 feet of shallow sound-front access. Windsurfers, kite surfers, kayakers, and kids will appreciate this ultra-friendly location where miles of open Pamlico Sound facilitate launching, fishing, exploring, relaxing, or just horsing around in the water.

The boat ramp and docks handle modest boats and personal watercraft. Acres of manicured sod keep Island Creek Resort looking and feeling good underfoot. Grab the Coppertone and head across the street to Avon's super beachfront. Spring and fall guests sing ICR's praises for board sports, while families regale in this secret spot for summer getaways. Seasoned travelers even head to ICR for their winter holidays. For parents introducing their families to the world of watersports and experts looking to ideal their kiting, windsurfing, and kayaking techniques, this is really a resort for all seasons. Island Creek Resort, Avon. It's always better on the island.
The boat slips are first come first served.

Our top Vacation rental tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Waterfront dog-friendly home on the Sound with private hot tub, pool & AC has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Hatteras beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
