The Round House is a unique place to relax, savor the beach (100 yards), gaze at the stars, & reclaim your sense of wonder. Surround yourself in nostalgia, appreciate the new hot tub, and the magic of OBX! Step back to a quieter time and escape for a charming hideaway or to spend quality time with friends and family. Located only 100 yards from the beach path!

The space
Freshly modernized in 2021 with a touch of whimsey, this is a unique space for family and friends to reconnect!

The 3 bedroom 2 bathroom beach home is comfortable, about 850 square feet, but very well laid out for max. family fun and interaction. Limited to 6 people. We recommend either 4 adults and up to 2 kids or a total of 5 adults. The Pirates NOOK is designed for 2 modest folks or one adult. :)

While The Round House is a place to let the rest of the world fade away, if you do need to work, we have reliable/high speed WIFI for your use. Yes, you can get away from it all and stay connected at the same time.

Your stay includes use of 2 beach bicycles, 2 kayaks, a surf board, 4 skim boards, a beach cart, cooler, and beach chairs. ($500 Value)

You will find the open floor plan fun, inviting and incredibly cozy.

LINENS: We provide Duvets and Duvet covers for all our beds as well as pillows. Beds and pillows all have protectors. You have the option to bring your own sheets and towels or we can provide fresh, professionally cleaned linens, bath towels & beach towels through our local service. This service runs $150 and is included in your fee. If you opt to bring your own linens, we will refund this amount to you after your stay.

LOCATION

We are located in the town of Salvo, NC in the Outer Banks. This is a peaceful beach community where you will find some of the most handsome beaches and scenery in the world.

The Round House is located only 100 yards from the beach access path. A short painless walk.
Guest access
The Round House is located in an ideal neighborhood setting. Kids can safely ride their bicycles, skateboards or scooters and you can take a nice jog around our sleepy two mile loop.

Also, Salvo has a fabulous walking/bicycle path so your can ride bicycles to the day use area or to one of numerous marvelous local eateries.

As for the BEACH....We are only 100 yards from the beach path on the ocean side of the street. No roads to cross. You can hear the waves from our deck!
Other things to note
1. Hurricanes are a possibility. Please understand this when you book your vacation rental. We highly recommend purchasing the travel insurance that is available.

2. We suggest paying for your reservation with an American Express Card. Several American Express Cards will cover the cost of your trip should a Hurricane evacuation become necessary.

3. The Round House does require climbing steps. As is true of most beach homes in the area, the home sits on pilings.

4. The Wifi in the Round House is suitable for remote work to include Zoom calls.

5. Stays longer than two weeks require additional cleanings during your stay at the posted cleaning rate.

Salvo is home to this vacation home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting.
