The living area is fitted with a state-of-the-art 60" 4K Intelligent TV, complemented by 32" TVs in each of the elegantly appointed bedrooms, all outfitted with lush King Sealy beds to ensure a restful nighttime's sleep. The modern, open kitchen is a chef's dream, designed for enchanting breakfasts and memorable gatherings. 

Step outside to the broad balcony, where you can relax while basking in the glow of striking sunsets or marveling at kiteboarders gracefully soaring across the horizon—all from the comfort of a relaxing hot tub or through the impressive 10-foot sliding glass doors that invite the outside in.

The living room exudes a warm ambiance with its vaulted ceilings and a comfortable gas fireplace, making it the ideal spot for evenings spent with adored ones. The master bedroom promises luxury with a King bed, while one additional bedroom is furnished with two Twin beds for versatility, and the other offers yet another King bed, providing ample space and comfort for everybody. At Southern Tides, gorgeous vistas abound, creating a serene getaway at the pinnacle of Rodanthe Sunset Retreat.

Guests can indulge in a range of amenities, including a shining soundfront pool, a private dock for water activities, and a generous kiteboarding area. Ground-level storage, an inviting BBQ grilling area, covered parking, and convenient elevator access enhance your stay. The pristine beach awaits just a short 500-yard walk away, providing painless access to sun and surf. Upon your arrival, your beds will be made, and conveniences such as a washer/dryer and complimentary WiFi will be ready for you to use. A Keurig coffee maker is at your disposal for those invigorating morning brews, and family pets are welcome for an additional fee, accepting the whole family to appreciate this idyllic getaway. Please note that the fireplace is operational from November 15th to March 1st, creating a cozy gathering spot during the cooler months.

  • Summertime is high season in the Hatteras area. To get the best value, change your family's Hatteras vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance.   • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.

  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
