CANALFRONT Avon – Tarpon Ln. – Located in a tree lined cul-de-sac sits DRIFTER’S DOCK, the idyllic spot for your Hatteras Island vacation.

Drift through the canal or paddle to Pamlico Sound. The home is located on a sizable private grassy lot, ideal for the kids and dogs. Fish for hours off the private two tier dock, for painless water access. The screened porch offers a space to relax and savor nature. Catch moments of tranquility in the morning and watch the sky turn pink over the trees or in the evening as the sun sets over the water. Underneath the home is a enormous concrete area for parking, outdoor games and a huge storage room for your sports gear. Gather the family for a short walk to the beach. Wash off in the outdoor shower or use one of the two convenient hose spigots after a sandy day at the beach.

Inside you'll be welcomed by vaulted ceilings, with exposed beams and an open floor plan. WiFi and intelligent TVs throughout, surround sound stereo inside and on the screened porch. Settle into one of the three bedrooms, a master king sized bed with a private attached bath, second queen bedroom. The third bedroom includes two singles.

Every inch of this beach bungalow will remind you of Hatteras Island. You’ll find yourself always drifting back to DRIFTER’S DOCK.

*Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis courts. You will sign in with the attendant using the home name.

Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance.
