OCEANFRONT Waves - Sea Isle Hills Dr. - When you really deserve a secluded vacation, consider this your HATTERAS ESCAPE. Your troubles will feel miles away with a dip in the clear blue private pool, a soak in the close by hot tub and a favorite drink at the broad poolside Tiki bar. There are plenty of ways to remain entertained in the ground level game room with pool table, TV/DVD and wet bar with full size refrigerator and ice machine. Also on this level is a convenient half bath and two bedrooms, one with 2 bunk beds & one with 2 singles, that share a full bath. The convenient elevator which accesses the first 3 levels of the home will take you up to the second level where you'll find four more well-furnished and cavernous bedrooms. Two of these bedrooms are oceanfront king masters, and there's also a king bedroom with a semi-private bath, and a queen bedroom. Head up to the third level, and escape to the enormous great room. The well-equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze with 2 dishwashers, warming drawer, additional seating, and close by is a wet bar. The dining area provides plenty of elbow room, and the living area is the ideal place to get away in front of the home theater system. Also on this level is a king master bedroom with Jacuzzi tub. For an idyllic getaway, take in a sunrise or sunset from one of the ocean or sound facing sun decks. Of course, the best way to escape is the private tower featuring king master suite with day bed, sitting room, private deck, and bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub. What are you waiting for? Getting the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in Waves. Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

- If there's a specific Hatteras destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.

- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
