When to reserve a Hatteras rental & When to go:

• The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Rodanthe. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
• Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection.
