Located only steps from the ocean, this Outer Banks hideaway offers terrific ocean vistas from the deck and simple beach access. One of the original homes on Runboat Circle, Trooper features original cedar plank walls, enormous skylights, cavernous terraces, and plenty of room to hang out. Whether you plan to have sizable dinner events, fun game nights, or calming happy hours, Trooper offers guests the ideal setting.

The top floor is a living room full of windows to capture as much light and oceanside vistas as possible. The ceiling even has skylights to maximize the island appeal. There is a breakfast bar and Keurig machine for fast and painless coffee in the mornings in the freshly-updated kitchen. For dinner, appreciate the sizeable dining room table, or relax casually at the smaller breakfast table, ideal for playing board games or working on a week-long puzzle project. The huge sliding glass door opens onto another generous wraparound deck where you’ll be able to sit with your coffee and savor the ocean breeze each morning.

Located in Frisco, this vacation home is near the beach. Frisco Native American Museum and Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Surf's Up are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Hatteras restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.   • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
