The kids can claim the alcove bunk beds and send the adults upstairs to the mid-level bedrooms to choose from two master bedrooms (king, queen) or two bedrooms (queen, 2 single) that share a bathroom. Every bedroom has its own flat screen TV.

Gather the family in the top level great room for conversation with a backdrop of pretty ocean vistas. The chefs in the family will appreciate the well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Appreciate the breakfast area for peaceful meals and for evening entertainment, escape through the french doors into the media room. Take a dip in the bubbly hot tub on the top level deck with ocean vistas, or stretch out with a good book on the sun deck for a lazy afternoon.

When to book & When to go:

• Summertime is high season in Waves. Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
• In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
• Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
• Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
