OCEANVIEW Salvo – Ocean Spray Rd. - Your family will be happy as a FAT GULL at this fun and amenities-filled Hatteras Island beach home. Beach access is just at the end of this peaceful street in south Salvo, and there is nothing finer than calming on one of the decks amidst the sea breeze and salt air. The bubbly hot tub is perched on the first level deck with painless-lift cover. Appreciate a game of pool in the multi-purpose game room which also offers a comfortable area for viewing the TV with DVD and Wii console. An apartment size refrigerator is available in this room for convenient access to drinks. The great room on the top level of the home is bright and decorated with an island flair. A game table for board games, and a TV and Blu-ray provide entertainment while meals are prepared in the kitchen with modren appliances and plenty of space for prep. The dining table seats 8 and the breakfast bar seats another 4 so that everybody can dine together. When it's time to retire after a full meal, your FAT GULLS can choose from 4 bedrooms on the mid-level of the home. There are two master bedrooms (king, queen) each with private baths and TVs with Roku. The other two bedrooms (queen, pyramid bunk and single) share a hall bath. - In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Hatteras vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.
