Brew a cup of coffee in the generously equipped kitchen and venture out onto the furnished balcony where the vistas from Hatteras Inlet to the point in Buxton just might provide some inspiration. All of the bedrooms feature TVs, as does the living area, which also offers a full view of the ocean. There’s an eat-at counter and an oceanview dining table with seating for up to eight for those family meals that somehow taste that much better when you are on vacation. A stacked washer and dryer is conveniently located in this unit.

Plus, savor the many amenities and community features the Durant Station condominium complex offers including a community clubhouse featuring a gathering space with a full kitchen, electric fireplace, pool table, and a TV. About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this condo is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Surf's Up are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summer time is high season in the Hatteras area. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
