Once the nighttime has taken over, come inside for a good nighttime’s sleep. Choose between the three bedrooms on the first level, each with a Intelligent TV. The one master bedroom has a queen size bed with an attached private bath, with a walk-in shower, and a private deck overlooking the island lake. The other two queen bedrooms on this level share a hall bath. The modern décor will make you feel like you’re in a beach resort with a warm touch. The top level of the home is open for quality family time. Unwind together and stream your favorite movie on the sizable Intelligent TV. Grab a snack at the breakfast bar with seating for four. The modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances has plenty of space to make a family meal. Sit together at the dining table for six or go to the screened-in porch with seating for four and appreciate the salty air. Get some work done if needed at the working station in the corner of the great room. Ideal your tan on the back porch with seating and impressive island and lake vistas. Getting the best Hatteras vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • To find the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Hatteras attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

  • Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review.
