Welcome to Better Surf Than Sorry! The name says it all. Are you ready for your dream vacation? Well look no further. This beach home has everything you will need for an memorable beach escape. 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths (1 of which is handicap accessible), elevator, outside shower, hot tub (that seats 6), Solar Heated Pool (May through October - No guarantee on water temp during early May and after Mid-September), and a basketball goal. The game room has a Puck Hole table (like shuffleboard), full size foosball table, refrigerator, and a wet bar. The main living area has loads of board games, jigsaw puzzles, DVDs, and books. Each bedroom has its own Joey (that runs off the Hopper 3 system), so everybody can watch whatever they want at any time. If you have Netflix or Amazon, you can log on under your name and watch your favorites. It’s just a short walk to a semi-private beach (neighborhood access only). In 2015 Cape Hatteras was voted #5 on Top 10 U.S. beaches. The back decks overlook a enormous lake full of wildlife and nice distant view of the sound. You will have unforgettable sunset vistas and starting late in the day you’ll be amazed at the symphony that all the little critters in the lake produce. Finally, why pay additional or have to upgrade to a “Gold” rental to have sheets and linens? They are supplied in our price. So whether it is a week or more for a calming vacation or couple day’s hideaway you won’t regret Better Surf than Sorry.
* House is located in peaceful neighborhood with close proximity to Sound and Ocean access to world class kite boarding and surfing spots. On the East Coast, the best place for surf is on the Outer Banks, and this region is acclaimed as one of the best surfing destinations from New York to Florida. There are a number of other water sports on the Outer Banks, including hang gliding, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, surf and pier fishing, and crabbing. Also close by are Bodie Island and Cape Hatteras light homes, numerous piers, museums, marinas, cozy little stores and striking eateries.
The Space:
This handsome home with private solar heated pool (May through October) and just mins. to the ocean is normally rented for full weeks only from June to September. Along with the 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths you have an elevator, outside shower, hot tub (that seats 7), private solar heated pool (solar heating only runs from May through October), Game room with a Puck Hole table (like shuffleboard), full size foosball table, refrigerator, and wet bar. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Salvo. To find the largest rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.

  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
