A short drive into town will bring you to local dining options like Ketch 55 Seafood Grille and Oceanas Bistro. Grab a cup of coffee at Uglie Mugs and wander through Simply OBX for the ideal souvenir. When you want to savor the beach, the Avon Fishing pier is just 1.4 miles away from Dragon's Lair, accepting you to swim, fish, and soak up the sun during your stay. Dragon's Lair is also a pet-friendly Outer Banks rental so the whole family can really appreciate Hatteras Island and all Avon has to offer.

• Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
• Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.
