The space
Step inside this freshly refreshed home with an open floor plan and splendid vistas! One bathroom offers a shower, while the other offers a bathtub/shower combo. Upstairs, you will find a playful bunk room with 4 twin beds, a pullout twin couch, and a 1/2 bathroom. There is a intelligent tv in the bunk room as well as one in the living room. Board games and books galore.

Our top Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home in Avon:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. New! Sound-front, Great Views, Kayak, Paddle board has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
