Nearby is a convenient full hall bath, and two bedrooms: one with a king bed, and one with a pyramid bunk with trundle. The second level features three more bright and cheerful bedrooms, including two queen bedrooms that share a full bath, and a king master bedroom that steps out to a breezy deck. Upstairs, savor the top-level great room with a home theater system, peaceful dining area, and step outside the door access to the roomy deck that showcases an ocean view and handsome sunsets over the sound. With splendid furnishings and decor, it’s painless to leave your worries far behind with a vacation at JAKE’S WAKE.

New for 2024: The chef of the group will delight when they see the refreshed kitchen. The top-level great room has new seating including couches and chairs. The ground-level bunk room has a new double bed to sink into after a day of fun under the sun.

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Hatteras area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Hatteras vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.

  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
