The second level features three more bright and cheerful bedrooms, including two queen bedrooms that share a full bath, and a king master bedroom that steps out to a breezy deck. Upstairs, savor the top-level great room with a home theater system, peaceful dining area, and step outside the door access to the roomy deck that showcases an ocean view and beautiful sunsets over the sound. • Summer time is high season in the Hatteras area. Booking your Hatteras vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
• Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection.
