Only rented in the summer with rates competitive to other luxury oceanfront homes on Hatteras Island, this is not your typical vacation rental. Constructed in 2022, this charming modern home welcomes you into casual luxury. Tremendous ocean vistas, an immaculate chef’s kitchen, two ocean-facing private suites with balconies on the top level, plus plenty of room and amenities for family members of all ages make this an extraordinary place to vacation in comfort and convenience. Every detail is designed to please the eye, yet practical and functional. Top it off with a saltwater pool, hot tub, and poolside grille and bar - you will never want to leave.

Ground Level Entry: Dry entry access accepts you to unpack and load the elevator with groceries and bags for the first or second floor. A Level 2 EV charger is located at the north parking bay. Or enter through the tall formal front door into the entry hall from the front steps. The yard is a riot of native flowering plants and trees.

First Floor: Two king bedrooms, bunkroom, den, laundry, two bathrooms, and pool access are located on this floor. The ocean-facing primary king suite features a roll-in shower and deck access. Another comfortable king bedroom has vistas to the east and west. All the bedrooms provide bespoke-designed headboards and floating bedside tables with USB charging ports, dressers, closets, and hook bars for towels and clothes.

The bespoke bunk room sleeps four, each bed with its own lamp and USB port. A super-fun blue tooth ceiling fixture inspires dance events with the kids.

The den is tucked away with a sizable TV, floating cabinets filled with games, a couch, two recliners, and an array of floor pillows for movie nighttime, gaming, or a peaceful place to read or do yoga. The barn door is a work of art.

In addition to the enormous TVs in the den and great room, we provide two 32” TVs that can be used in any bedroom.

Second Floor: Drink in spectacular ocean vistas from an open-plan great room boasting multiple sitting areas, a TV, and an 18-foot clerestory. Double glass doors open to a furnished deck with full ocean sightlines. Check out the bookshelf with tons of summer reading, plus shell, bird, and fish identification books. Appreciate the sunset from the reading nook, or sit at the game table with an ocean-facing window. A powder room is tucked away by the elevator.

The completely equipped gourmet kitchen with quartz countertops and under-cabinet lighting makes cooking and serving fun and painless. Notable extras include a coffee grinder, electric tea kettle, refrigerator with dual ice makers, oven with an air-fry option, and even an electric knife sharpener. A separate dry bar with a drink/wine refrigerator provides additional space to chill and serve drinks. There is a huge dining table, plus bar seating.

Third Floor: The stairway to the third floor is a treat, with glimpses of the sound and vistas of the western sky. A balcony at the top of the stairs overlooks the great room, ocean, and sound.

Upstairs, two primary king suites are acoustically isolated from each other on either side of the great room below. Lie in bed and gaze at the ocean and stars. Step out on your private deck to spot dolphins or savor the nighttime sky. The bathrooms feature tile showers with modern glass doors and quartz countertops at the vanities.

Facing west between the two primary suites is a additional multi-purpose room. This peaceful, compact space is the ideal refuge for the vacationer who needs a desk to do some work. It also doubles as a nursery for a family with a infant or toddler. If requested, we provide a Pack ’n Play crib so you can maintain a bedtime routine in this separate room next to the parents’ suite.

Pool Area: Entirely furnished, the gracious outdoor living area features a private saltwater pool. A bar for serving food or drinks and a gas grille invite everybody to gather poolside. Savor the hot tub under the stars. You will find your shell-lined path to the beach by the pool entrance. A foot wash station, outdoor shower, and half-bath offer simple access from the poolside or beach.

  • June, July, and August are high season in Salvo. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Hatteras vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection.
