SOUND EFFECT's view is impressive, right on the water! SOUND EFFECT is an updated, trendy, well-kept bungalow. This is Avon's hottest location for windsurfing, kiting, fishing and watching sunsets. Launch right from the home for a session on the water and experience spectacular sunsets from the expansive deck. You should see for yourself why people come to SOUND EFFECT year after year. Ground level has covered parking, full outdoor bathroom with shower, lockable sail and board rack storage, plenty of grassy rigging area, 130' boardwalk with dock, and charcoal grille. 1st level has a waterfront king master suite with full bath and sliding glass doors onto lower waterfront deck. Roomy island bedroom 2 has a queen and bedroom 3 has 2 sets of bunk beds, both have access to a full bath. 2nd level has a queen master suite with full bath and upgraded rain shower, sizable great room with vaulted ceiling and expansive vistas of sound, 3 sets of glass doors give access to the deck and hot tub for spectacular elevated waterfront vistas. If you want a vacation on the water’s edge - you'll appreciate SOUND EFFECT!

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.

Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

About the Area

Located in Avon, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is a notable landmark, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Ocean Air Sports and Avon Fishing Pier are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Avon. To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.

  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review.
