You are due a vacation this year and we can’t think of a better place to vacation than this modern classic Hatteras bungalow. With bespoke wainscoting, shiplap ceilings, fresh countertops and tile backsplashes, this home is straight out of Coastal Living magazine. As you pull into the driveway, you are greeted by a covered front porch with craftsman detailing. The elevator does the heavy lifting for you so you can start your vacation off right at your private swimming pool with inset kiddie pool and swim-up ledge. Soak in some sun in the outdoor lounges or hang at the poolside Tiki bar for cool beverages and snack buffets.

There could be no bluer vistas than from the decks of this home as you relax in Adirondack chairs with a favorite novel. Water surrounds you at DUE EAST with the Pamlico Sound on two sides and a marina on another. As you enter the home through the entryway, two king master bedrooms are on either side, each with master baths with bespoke tile. Two more master bedrooms are located upstairs, one with 2 single beds and the other a king master suite with french doors leading to your private porch overlooking the pool.

The great room on the first level envelopes you in professionally decorated southern appeal. The kitchen is appointed with top of the line GE stainless steel appliances including french door refrigerator, microwave drawer and gourmet gas range. Meals couldn't be more delightful to create in this bright space. The dining area is near the kitchen where you can dine together at the huge table. Sink into the comfortable couch in front of the Intelligent home theater system after your meal and revel in the day's activity. Head your car DUE EAST towards Hatteras Island for a calming vacation.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is near the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Surf's Up are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.

Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses.   • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback.
