All of the captain's crew will have sweet dreams in one of the 3 mid-level bedrooms, all with TV. There are two bedrooms that share a hall bath (queen, 2 bunk beds), each with access to the deck with the bubbly hot tub. The third bedroom is a queen master bedroom with TV and deck access. The crew can relax in the appealing great room featuring a dining area, handy half bath, and living area with 54" flat screen TV/BluRay and cheery furnishings. The family prepare will appreciate the well-appointed kitchen with breakfast bar, and the captain will enjoy the king master bedroom with TV and deck access. At the end of the day, relax on the roomy sun decks with lakefront vistas, or take a walk down to the lake and feed the cute little turtles. You can even put in a kayak for an evening paddle. Sticking to your rental budget:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Hatteras area. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses.
