SEMI-SOUNDFRONT Salvo - Turtle Ct. - Feel tranquility from the decks of SERENITY COVE while watching the sun sink into the Pamlico Sound. The water vistas from this home are elegant as the lot across the peaceful cul-de-sac is undeveloped. Savor community sound access and stow your watersports gear in the under-home storage. If you prefer to stay close to home, relax at the private pool with poolside Tiki bar, picnic table, and bubbly hot tub. Prepare a poolside lunch in the first level game room/wet bar equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The game room also has a pool table, enormous flat screen TV and DVD. The lawn is sufficiently cavernous (nearly 1/2 acre lot) to toss a baseball or frisbee, kick a soccer ball, and sort out kite lines and gear. Nearby on the first level is a pyramid bunk bedroom and a full bath. The second level is where you'll find four comfortable bedrooms - a queen master with full bath and separate shower; a queen master with full bath; and two bedrooms (1 double, 1 pyramid bunk) sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom with shower. The king master bedroom is on the top level featuring a flat screen TV, extravagant garden tub and separate shower. Four out of the six bedrooms provide gorgeous sound vistas with sliding glass doors opening to the second and third level decks. Appreciate morning coffee and sunset view dinners in the top level's great room with wall-to-wall windows. (Fireplace pictured is not for guest use.) Spend your time in the breakfast nook with coffee/wet bar or catch a movie in front of the 55" HDTV home theater system with BOSE stereo surround sound. Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Wind Over Waves, a neighborhood in Salvo. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. When to visit Salvo & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.

- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective.
