• The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
• Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
