Bright, open, and casual, this vacation rental puts you just steps from the canal for painless access out to the sound. The open floorplan combines a well-equipped, island kitchen with full-size appliances with a living area with a wall-mounted, flatscreen TV for streaming your favorite shows and movies. Step outside into your furnished, screened-in deck and savor the view, or head underneath the home where you'll find a picnic table for summertime picnics.

The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
• Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
• Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance.
