SOUNDSIDE Salvo - North Sand Dollar Ct. - If you're looking for a appealing home with vistas of both ocean and sound, KNIGHTS IN SALVO will come to your rescue.

Located in Wind over Waves community with community sound access and boat ramp. Load your suitcases into the convenient suitcases lift and send it upstairs while you take a dip in the private pool or relax in the close by hot tub. The game room is on the first level and features plenty of entertaining options including 39" flat screen TV, and pool table. Poolside snacks can be fixed comfortably in the game room wet bar with full size refrigerator and microwave.

Two queen bedrooms on the first level share a bathroom, while there are 2 king master bedrooms, each with 32" flat screen TV/DVD combo, on the mid-level along with two more bedrooms that share a bath (1 with 2 singles, 1 with pyramid bunk w/trundle). The top level is home to the king of the master bedrooms with 32" flat screen TV/DVD combo and slider to private soundview deck. The great room will please the group with modern kitchen and comfortable seating in front of the home theater system with 46" flat screen TV.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Wind Over Waves, a neighborhood in Salvo. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Salvo. Booking your Hatteras vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
