OCEANVIEW Rodanthe - Cross of Honor Way - BELLA VISTA translates to handsome view, and this impressive Mirlo Beach home, lives up to its name. Located in the ideal spot for bird-watching, fishing, and outdoor adventures, this home directly borders Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and 12 miles of completely undeveloped land for unobstructed vistas of the ocean, sound, and National Park. Direct access to the beach is a short, traffic-complimentary walk via the community boardwalk. There is also a community sound access and tennis court. BELLA VISTA, with 10 bedrooms and three separate living areas, can handle a crowd. On the first level, you'll find the game room with pool table, wet bar with microwave and full-size refrigerator. The game room opens directly to a shaded deck and then down to the enormous private pool. Also on this level is a washer/dryer, convenient elevator, and four bedrooms. There are king and queen master suites with TVs, one with two singles and semi-private bath, and the fourth has a pyramid bunk with TV. The queen master bedroom on this level has a universally accessible bathroom. The second level features a centrally located living area with laundry area and five bedrooms. Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.   • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses.   • Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
