With access to both oceanfront and soundside decks, viewing sunrises and sunsets are daily favorite activities. When it's time to end the day, the master bedroom welcomes you with a king bed, private bath, TV, oceanfront deck access and brilliant blue ocean vistas. Just steps away is the second bedroom with a queen and a single bed along with the full hall bath next to the laundry closet with your own washer/dryer. Not only is this property located in the village of Rodanthe, central to shopping, eateries and activities, but there are incredible resort amenities on site including a grilling area with picnic tables, outdoor showers, enormous community pool (open May - September) and a nice, wide boardwalk to the beach. With all of this convenience and comfort, there is no question that your vacation will be nothing but relaxing.

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Rodanthe. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Hatteras attraction you crave, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
