OCEANVIEW Waves - La Waves Drive SPLISH SPLASH, with its private pool, hot tub, game room with pool table, and location just two tons from the ocean, is certain to make a splash with your vacation crew. The home is located on a peaceful cul-de-sac in the heart of Waves, where the beach is uncrowded and the mood is laid back. The ground floor of the home has a huge game room, a laundry room and double carports. On the first floor are five generous size bedrooms including a queen master with private bath and a king bedroom that has a semi-private bathroom. Three other bedrooms (queen, 2 single, pyramid and regular bunk) share a hall bath. Three bedrooms open onto a shaded deck and one bedroom opens to a covered porch. The second floor has another master bedroom with private bath and Jacuzzi tub. The sizable great room with dining area provides the ideal place for entertaining or just calming. The well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar was designed with the prepare in mind. An broad ocean facing deck provides impressive vistas of the Atlantic inviting you to SPLISH SPLASH this year.

*Please note that this property has a pool that can be heated for $600. Pool heaters, when pool heat is purchased, are set to 80 degrees, but pool temperature cannot be guaranteed.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

When to visit Waves & When to book:

  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Waves. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses.   • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
