OCEANVIEW Salvo- Colony Dr. (formerly Pearl) - Discover your fairy tale of a vacation at THE BEAUTY & THE BEACH, where this gorgeously refreshed six-bedroom/five full-bath and two-half bath home is destined to make your dreams come true. A few tons from the beach and worlds away from daily cares, this roomy and airy home appeals to every guest’s idea of the ideal vacation, whether it is active, idle, or blended with work. Let the games begin on the first level, where a new 65-inch intelligent TV, pool table and wet bar with refrigerator offers hours of entertainment and refreshment. Also on this level is a pyramid bunk bedroom. The home’s middle level is where you will find three more king bedrooms, each with their own bath and intelligent TVs. Two have direct access to a shaded oceanside deck. The last ensuite king bedroom with soaking tub, double vanity, separate shower, and intelligent TV, is located on the top level, just off the enormous great room. Here, a ceiling fan circulates above from the vaulted ceilings, cooling the air that drifts in from the wall-to-wall windows supplying unobstructed ocean vistas. There’s a convenient half-bath and a well-equipped kitchen that is thoughtfully designed with the avid prepare in mind. Three counter stools inspire early morning coffee and conversation while the eight-seat dining table is where you may be motivated to grow roots over extended family dinners. Step outside to the sundeck after dinner and savor the sun setting over the sound. Other alfresco opportunities are plentiful, with a sunny private pool, hot tub, gas grille, tiki bar, and basketball hoop located on the ground level. For those who have perfected the art of balancing work and play, the home offers a media workstation with a desk, desktop computer, and a laser printer/scanner/copier. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

New for 2022: New updates include one new bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a new bed configuration. There will be five total bedrooms: one on the top level, three on the first level, and one on the ground level. Four will feature brand-new king beds, one will feature a queen bed, and the other will feature a pyramid bunk bed. All bedrooms will have new intelligent TVs. There will be a new media workstation with a desk, desktop computer, and laser printer/scanner/copier. There will be new décor, new lamps, and a new 65” Intelligent TV and new furnishings in the game room. A new pool liner will be installed alongside a new poolside tiki bar, lounge chairs, and a gas grille. There will be a basketball hoop. (Bring your own equipment)

When to reserve a Hatteras rental & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Hatteras area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses.   • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews.
