OCEANVIEW Waves — Sea Isle Shores Ln. — One thing for sure at I’M NOT SHORE is that you’ll never need to search for a spectacular view; the vistas from the home’s top deck reveal a mesmerizing panorama from sunrise over the ocean to sunset into the sound. As complete as that sounds, it’s how this five-bedroom/four- and one-half bath fills the space and time in between that makes this home a really excellent find.

Drive up to the roomy grassy lot on a peaceful street and find plenty of parking, some covered. It won’t be long before you settle into a lounge alongside the saltwater pool next to the home and begin that much needed vacation decompression. A six-person hot tub stands ready to further the cause. There’s a charcoal grille here, too, and two outdoor showers to accommodate a post-beach-day rinse off. Just inside on the ground level is a game room featuring a pool table, Intelligent TV, and a wet bar with a minifridge and sink. Feeling casual? Good.

Four of the home’s bedrooms occupy the second level: a master king, a master with two single beds, and another king that shares a hallway bath with a bedroom holding two single beds. Both king rooms have access to a private deck. All the bedrooms feature Intelligent TVs. The final bedroom, a king, is located on the top level and features a private shower, jetted tub, and a Intelligent TV. This room provides direct access to the great room, an airy and open space destined to become your family’s go-to gathering spot as you watch cable TV from comfortable couches and two ceiling fans lazily circle above. The cavernous and entirely equipped kitchen has everything you need to make planning and preparing meals an simple delight. Plus, you can look forward to appreciating those meals together at a delightful, humongous live-edge table that seats ten and an eat-at counter that accommodates four more. Step outside to discover a screened-in porch with a picnic table and multiple wraparound decks to savor the fresh air, ocean breezes and excellent stargazing.

Finest of all is I’M NOT SHORE’s location — just 250 feet to the ocean beach and comfortably accessible to the fishing and watersport-friendly waters of Pamlico Sound. The cozy village of Waves offers numerous eateries, cafes, and a modest market to pick up last-min. groceries. When you are sure I’M NOT SHORE is the one, don’t hesitate to book it!

*Please note that this property has a pool that can be heated for $600. Pool heaters, when pool heat is purchased, are set to 80 degrees, but pool temperature cannot be guaranteed.

Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Located in Waves, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore.   • Summer is high season in Waves. To book the largest rental home within budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it.
