Our beach home is located on Hatteras Island in Salvo.

We are one block from the beach access and a five min. walk to the ocean. Fishing is great on the island most of the year. Charter fishing is available at Oregon Inlet (20 mins.) or Hatteras Village(30 mins.). You can even bring your own boat or jet skis. The public boat ramp to the sound is less then one mile away. Surf fishing is just a short walk away. Want to discover the area by way of the beach, no problem pack up your 4WD car and head to the beach ramp 1/2 mile away. Want to try kite boarding? Equipment rental and lessons available nearly across the street. Of course there is always surfing! Just want to relax and get away then our home is just for you. Coxy, bright and open everything you will need for a great vacation. New living room furnishings, comfortable beds. We call it our little piece of heaven and we know you will appreciate it as much as we do. Linens are not supplied but may be rented at a local rental company

May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance.   • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
