OCEANFRONT Rodanthe- Laura Lane Sister Home: This is one of two nearly identical homes sitting beside each other – rent one or both for your group. Or if this home is already rented for your week, take a look at its sister home 177 Horatio's Hideaway.Directly north of historic Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station on a wonderfully peaceful oceanfront lot just a fast walk from the beach with ocean vistas on all levels, this home will take you back to the old days on Hatteras Island, when the homes were few and far between and the lifesaving station was the center of activity. With your own stretch of beach frontage and surrounding empty dunes, you'll feel the history soaking in. But modern times won't be far behind. A swimming pool, hot tub, volleyball net and recreation room await you in this 8-bedroom home. On the first level you'll savor an oceanfront deck with the hot tub and access to the pool. Three bedrooms and the enormous game room with pool table and foosball are on this level. On the second level are 4 bedrooms - 2 masters and 2 that share a bath, and all 4 of the bedrooms open onto the mid-level deck with very nice ocean vistas. The top-level great room is broad with cathedral ceilings, a half-bath, a home theater system w/surround sound and big ocean vistas. Cooks will appreciate the modern kitchen with a sizable breakfast bar and oceanfront dining. On the top floor is another master bedroom with deck access. The top-floor deck offers striking vistas and direct access to the sunshine, and CAPTAIN BECK'S is also an ideal home for weddings and events.

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Book your Hatteras rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses.
