OCEANFRONT Avon – Greenwood Pl. – A picture of blue matching the ocean it faces, SOUTHERN EXPOSURE is the kind of vacation home that immediately makes you feel you’ve made the right pick for your family. The seven bedroom/five-and one-half-bath home is elegantly furnished and decorated to complement its oceanside surroundings. There’s a ideal balance of restful and recreational opportunities. Finest of all, the beach and the Atlantic’s glorious waves are just a brief boardwalk walk away.

There are so many choices to make! Start the day by warming up with a little hoop action out front. When you’re ready to cool down, take a dip in the ocean or in the ground level oceanfront pool. Now it’s time to warm things up again ... the adjacent hot tub stands ready to give your tired muscles a calming break. Or heat up the gas grille and prepare up a lunch to savor around the picnic table. When the competitive mindset kicks in again, head inside to the entertainment/game room for a round or two of pool, maybe stopping to fix yourself a snack in the kitchenette. Just off this room is a double bunk bedroom and bath, decorated to delight the kids. Four more bedrooms occupy the first level, one master with an ensuite bath, three with access to a deck and the symphony of waves to lull you to sleep, and the fourth with access to its own private screened in porch.

The upper level is a sizable space to entertain your grandiose plans of family camaraderie. Here you’ll find a phenomenal sun deck with plenty of new Polywood® chairs to appreciate your coffee as the sun makes its ascent over the horizon. There’s a well-equipped kitchen that can effortlessly accommodate more than one prepare at mealtime. Gather around the eat-at kitchen counter or the 10-seat dining table for those meals that happily and hungrily bring everybody together. As the evening winds down, retire to the great room to catch up on your favorite shows on the huge flat-screen TV or to the two master king bedrooms, both complete with oceanfront vistas and one that also has its own private deck with vistas of the sound, that are conveniently on this level. Need a private escape or a peaceful place to work? Climb the stairs to the tower loft area where a workstation with WiFi obliges your needs. The 360-degree vistas are simply icing on the cake.

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
