Ocean Breezes, Unit #110, is an accessibility-friendly, oceanfront condo with a queen bed in the bedroom and an additional queen couch bed in the living area. This condo has a well-equipped kitchen for great family meals. Two TVs and two DVD players are available for your listening and viewing entertainment.

The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul bags and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast.

At Durant Station, you'll savor a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 through January 2. The Durant Station Community Center is 'crowned' by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Islands past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a sizable-screen 50' plasma TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.

All retreats are charmingly furnished and completely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your tranquility of mind.

Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some getaways have a stackable washer/dryer. A huge separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grilles, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

Located in Hatteras, this condo is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and British Cemetery. Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Hatteras. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.

  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home.
