Located in the dunes on Bold Dune Drive, you'll find this handsome little beach bungalow just waiting to provide you with lasting memories of the Outer Banks.

All on one level, this bright and cheery home features a well-equipped kitchen, a cavernous living and dining area, three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Grown-ups can have the queen primary bedroom while the kids crash in the bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. The third bedroom has two single beds for any other family members or friends.

Gather on the roomy, oceanfront deck or climb a little higher to the observation deck, where you can sip your morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is just a short walk over the dunes.

Big Break is the Outer Banks in its true form - simple, serene, sun, sand, and surf.

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Palisade Acres, a neighborhood in Waves. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore.   • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
