Casa Creekside is a cozy two bedroom home that sits on the back of a residential cul-de-sac and is adjacent Mill Creek, which is directly accessible to the Pamlico Sound. Only two blocks to the ocean, it sleeps 4-5 and features outdoor living amenities like two private upstairs decks and a hot tub overlooking the creek.
The ocean is a short 5 min. walk directly across the street, with a public boardwalk leading the way over the impressive double dunes. The yard is landscaped and lined with locust trees on the south and Russian olives and oleanders to the north. On the back of the home near the creek, live oaks thrive giving you privacy like non other while appreciating a soak in your private hot tub. There is Wi-Fi in the home, and TV equipped with a Roku stick for streaming TV such as YouTube & Netflix etc. The ocean is a short 5 min. walk directly across the street, with a public boardwalk leading the way over the handsome double dunes.
Appreciate the entire home with access to the creekside hot tub, decks, outdoor shower with sink and toilet, and much more! Set up your cornhole boards or toss the baseball in any part of the yard you like. There is an owner storage unit below where I store cleaning and housekeeping items.
I also provide two bicycles so you can be sure to make the most out of your time in Avon. Hit the beach right across the street and then take an evening cruise to catch the sunset! I try to provide my guests with the things I myself appreciate here in Avon!

Finding the best vacation rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Avon. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Hatteras area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for local tours and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation home in the Hatteras area:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Casa Creekside w\/ hot tub and bikes! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
